How to Modulate Intensity  from T-Nation Articles  (2012/2/2 14:59)
In the real world, going balls to the wall every workout is a recipe for plateaus as far-ranging as the Plains of Abraham. Here's how to program for those times when life calls an audible.
Exercises You've Never Tried: Beach Body Edition  from T-Nation Articles  (2012/2/1 14:52)
Ben Bruno thought the only thing more boring than training upper body was articles about training upper body. That is, until he came up with some cool variations.
The Westside Method Thread  from T-Nation | Most Discussed Topics  (2012/1/31 17:49)
This will not be a pissing contest. Not a place to be an asshole. No one on this site trains at Westside so don't fucking lie about it. I am starting this because I have a pretty good understanding of the system, have been using it with success for the last couple years, and want to help spread the knowledge I have learned to others who want to give it a shot. I truely believe a deeper understanding of the Wesitside Method is key to the program working for the lifter. Feel free to contribute constructive information. There are a million other threads to post about Sheiko, 5/3/1, Dick Bob's 5x27, and all of the other programs out there so keep that shit out of here. I am no expert. I am an intermediate as far as training experience. I have very little experience training at Westside. What I am is a fucking nerd when it comes to this stuff. It will not be exactly what they do there but it will be pretty close. So, lets start very, very basic and take it from there. ...

Cutting the Right Way?  from T-Nation | Most Discussed Topics  (2012/1/31 17:45)
Can someone give me an Idiot's Guide for cutting? I'm sure there are right ways to do it and wrong ways. I don't compete and don't plan to, but would like to be in "competition shape" by the end of July. I'm currently bulking. The only thing to add is that I'd prefer not to use any suppliments to do it, mainly because I don't want to spend the money on them ,and that I'll likely do 2-5 hours a week of cardio mainly because I enjoy it in the summer.
BBB's Mitochondrial Protocal  from T-Nation | Most Discussed Topics  (2012/1/31 17:45)

REJ's Log  from T-Nation | Most Discussed Topics  (2012/1/31 17:44)
I've been lifting weights regularly for years, but still consider myself a novice. With that said, I recently started a new program based on the GVT article I read here on the site and decided to start keeping a log to track my progress. I'm just starting the program, so am still trying to find the right weights for the 10x10s. Goals: Lose fat. Gain strength. Stats: As of 01/05/11, I was 32 years old, 6'0", and 243lbs. My measurements are 42" waist, 46" chest, 16" arms. 01/05/11 15 minutes Marpo machine Bent over rows 10x10 @ 105 (too light) cable lat pull downs 4x12 cable rows 4x8 EZ bar curls 5x5 @ 85 DB hammer curls 5x5 @ 35 01/06/11 DB lateral raise 10x10 @ 15 (too light) Military press 10x10 @ 55 (too light) DB shrugs 10x10 @ 60 (too light) Plate rotations 10@25, 10@35, 8@45 Rear delt machine 4x8 @ 70 REJ
JLO's Log and Kitties  from T-Nation | Most Discussed Topics  (2012/1/31 17:43)
So here it is. I have not been very motivated lately to do much of anything so maybe this will help. With the hubby( DJHT) pushing me to do this, I'll give it a try. And with the encouragement of others (Peaches) we'll see how it goes. And oh yes, kitty pics. Can't ever have enough kitty pics. Well I've always been in some form of exercise, cardio, even taught aerobic classes way way back in the day. Never had a desire to pick up a bar or barbells, but started crossfit, yes crossfit, and no im not a koolaid drinker, but it got me interested in the oly lifts and actually lifting. So the hubby is a muscle head and has bugged me forever and a day to lift. So I'm starting to do some lifting and need to get motivated to do it more. Some stats: PR's: Deadlift 205, Push press, 115, back squat 185, front squats 155. Those are the only ones I can remember at this point. I'm short, no really, very very short, I say 5 feet, hubby says 4'10 ...
Training Log  from T-Nation | Most Discussed Topics  (2012/1/31 17:43)
12/8 stone lift to chest 20 reps (diamond shaped ?200 lb stone) stone carry 50' (oval shaped ?220 lb stone) 1 farmers carry 200' x 245 lbs (total, not each hand) It was 24 degrees out and lit only by the stars and 1/4 moon. Everything was frozen to the ground. Luckily it wasn't windy out. I've found carrying heavy things is as much will power as it is strength. When you have a heavy stone on your chest/stomach its almost impossible to breath. And farmers carries test your forearm pain tolerance. Brett,I haven't done farmers carries long enough to know if there has been any carry over to deads/squats. I'm not even sure there will be a carry over. I just know they're tough.
